Using in-camera multiple exposure, additive option for 2 images, I experimented with a small group of King Penguins to for an artistic composition. The fun of the multiple in-camera exposure is not knowing what opportunity may arise in between the first exposure and the second. The first image was created when the King Penguin marched behind a group of preening penguins. I was drawn to the various angles of their bright yellow cheek patches. The second image, then overlayed onto the first by the camera, was created when the same marching penguin threw its head up to the sky, beak wide open. Knowing that this would be a creative image, I dehazed and added exposure to the background of the beach in post processing.
