Transience

Fall foliage is one of Nature’s finest spectacles. Every year trees briefly transform to pillars of red and yellow before dropping their leaves for the winter months. I chose an overlook point on the Blue Ridge Parkway to tell the story of how the transition colors merged with the evergreen pines that are year round green sentinels. The valley mist also illustrates transience. As the sun rose the mist burnt off and the moment passed.
