I set up my tripod early on autumn morning in a North Carolina riverbed and waited for the exact angle of light that would accentuate the mist coming off the water. The tree covered slopes up river also caught the light and made the foliage glow. I intentionally used a slow shutter speed to blur the water of the waterfalls.
