Auntie and her adopted cub walk across the scorching sand to President's waterhole in Hoanib. There are fewer than 150 desert-adapted lions living in the Namib desert along the Skeleton Coast of Namibia. This pairing is the result of the death of the cub's natural mother. The cub will need all the mentoring it can get from Auntie to successfully survive the harsh conditions.
